Who Is Lying

I received a polite email from the Saudi Embassy (info@saudiembassy.net) here in the US today referring to this blog:

http://muttawa.blogspot.com/

They state, "Thank you Dana. I certainly hope you do not believe the nonsense in that blog. It is pure fiction."

This is America, and that means innocent until proven guilty. We don't know whether this blogger is telling the truth or no http://muttawa.blogspot.com/, and we don't know if the Saudi government has any knowledge or is helping the islamofascists in the cartoon controversy.

Without further information, stalemate. At least the embassy staff have been polite. Other Middle East embassies never replied to me at all.

Update - Tuesday, 2/14/06

I hope you like my little blog and are not offended at my sense of humor. Please note that I'm gay (abomination), live in the midwest US (boring), don't like George W. Bush (traitor), have a small car (anti big oil), write bad poetry (but not as bad as Vogon poetry), am a Christian but non denominational (heretic), and I don't think that Islamists are fun people (infidel).

I'm sure I'm quite capable of offending almost everyone.

It is unfortunate that the Saudi government at this date still has made no effort (at least none I've seen reported here in the US) to quell the disturbances which claimed more lives today. I tend to think that they could do something instead of sitting on their collective asses being all pious while buildings are burned and people are killed and threatened. I have to think that they are unable or unwilling to do anything but sit and watch.

Thanks for stopping by!

PS - My name is Dana, which translates out as, "A Dane". No, really, it does.

Saw the post over on Religious Policeman. I, too, am trying to learn. I don't vouch for the neutral point of view (NPOV) of either of these sites, but I found this and the definitions of "tadyya" and "kitman" here suggest a possible underlying "(ir-)rationale" to the "polite" response you got.
